The business began in 1872.  The longevity of this company speaks for itself.  From the very first model, The Northern Star, to the 25th anniversary of the first computerized Viking sewing machine in 2004, improvement, innovation, and quality are the standards of this company.  The year 2004 also marked the 10th anniversary or the first Viking embroidery machine.

It’s difficult to find a Viking owner that is not satisfied.  Some of the testimonials around the web include a user whose 25 year old Viking had only one cleaning and adjustment in all those years.  While I would NOT recommend this maintenance schedule, it does speak to the quality of the Viking sewing machine.  As she said. you “can’t go wrong with a Viking.  They are a great machine!”
